MST are a young dynamic band going from strength to strength. This band creates a unique, contemporary sound, with cinematic, flowing arrangements sitting alongside hip-hop and latin grooves.
Led by singer Emily Wright, described in Venue Magazine as “an amazing vocalist”, the band offer original interpretations of compositions by Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock and John Coltrane, as well as a fresh take on well known jazz standards. Emily's warm, flowing vocals and Nick Malcolm's angular trumpet create a commanding front line, backed by a rhythm section comprising Dale Hambridge on piano, Jon Hyde on guitar, Will Harris on bass and Mark Whitlam on drums.
